Good Evening!
Here is an update on what is going on with Shortgrass this year. We have decided that the best course of action for auditions this year will be to use the online program OPUS. These online auditions will be set up very similar to what SWOBDA and All State have been using. Several schools contacted me and informed me that they would NOT be able to attend a traditional in person audition. We thought it best to go with an online audition so as not to exclude any of the programs in our region. We are in the final stages of having that set up with a tentative audition window of Nov 28 - Dec 12
ALSO - There is also some information regarding our clinic/concert site. Elk City will not be able to host our clinic in Jan SO we are asking membership if anyone else might be interested in hosting. If you are interested please confirm with your admin and then let me know. If we are unable to find a new site for the concert on our original dates (Jan 8-9) then we will plan to use our back up date (March 8-9) and see if Elk would be willing to host at that time.
Isn't this year fun! I hope you all have had a successful year thus far and I'm sure you are like me and can't wait to get to work on this years Covid Christmas Extravaganza!!!!
